Terms of Service

Big Sister is an AI assistant that helps you carry less: she remembers what you tell her, organizes it, plans with you, and drafts things for your approval. Two things about how she works matter enough to be terms, not just features:

• She proposes; you decide. Anything she drafts, plans, or suggests waits for your approval. She never sends anything to the outside world on her own.
• She's an AI. She's capable and careful, but AI can be wrong — confidently wrong. Suggestions, drafts, dates, and summaries deserve your judgment before you act on them, and the decisions you make remain yours (see Section 7).

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Big Sister is not directed to children. One account per person; you're responsible for what happens under your sign-in, so keep your credentials to yourself.

Everything you share with Big Sister — memories, tasks, plans, conversations, documents you link — stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to operate the service for you: storing your content, processing it with AI to generate her replies, and displaying it back to you. That's the whole license. We don't sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. How your data is handled lives in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

If you share information about other people — family, clients, contacts — you're responsible for having the right to share it.

If you put content into a Shared Circle, the people you invited can see it. Only share what you mean to.

Big Sister is a paid subscription, billed monthly through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. The price you sign up at is your price — if pricing changes later, existing subscribers stay where they are unless we tell you clearly, at least 30 days ahead.

Concierge onboarding is an optional one-time purchase (1:1 setup time with a real person), billed alongside the subscription at the price shown at checkout.

Founding member pricing is tied to your subscription staying continuously active. If it lapses — you cancel, or a payment fails and isn't fixed — the founding rate ends with it, and resubscribing is at whatever the current price is then. The founding rate doesn't transfer or pause.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Cancel any time. Canceling stops future billing; your access runs through the period you've already paid for. Deleting your account is stronger: it cancels the subscription immediately, removes everything, and any remaining paid time is forfeited — the deletion screen says so plainly before you confirm.

Refunds, plainly:

• Subscription charges: if a charge didn't work out — you forgot to cancel, the product wasn't what you needed, something broke — email us within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund it. No forms, no interrogation.
• Concierge onboarding: fully refundable until your session is scheduled. Once it's on the calendar, it's non-refundable — but it's always reschedulable, so if the time doesn't work anymore, just ask.

Don't use Big Sister to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, to violate other people's privacy, or to probe, overload, or interfere with the service or other people's accounts. Don't resell or scrape the service. We can suspend or close accounts that do these things; if we ever need to, we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Fair use. Your subscription covers real, personal use — which for almost everyone means: use her as much as you like. To keep the service reliable for every subscriber, subscriptions are subject to reasonable fair-use limits, and we may throttle or limit usage that materially exceeds normal use — think automated traffic or something running her around the clock, not a heavy week. If a limit ever touches you, she'll tell you plainly in the moment, and you can always ask us what happened.

We work hard to make Big Sister reliable and honest. But we have to say this part like lawyers, briefly:

• The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.
• Big Sister is not a lawyer, doctor, accountant, or financial advisor. Her help with plans, drafts, and decisions is organizational support, not professional advice. For legal, medical, tax, or financial decisions, talk to a licensed human.
• You're responsible for the actions you take and the decisions you make, including what you do with her proposals after you approve them.

To the fullest extent the law allows: our total liability to you for anything arising from these terms or the service is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply only where they're lawful.

You can leave any time — cancel, or delete your account entirely (Section 5). We can suspend or terminate accounts for violating these terms (Section 6). If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can act on your data before it's gone.

When these terms change, we'll update the date at the top. For meaningful changes — anything about money, your content, or your rights — we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, cancel and we'll honor Section 5.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, and disputes belong to the courts of North Carolina. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
